Creator privacy notice
1. Who we are
Pitchsafe is operated by Pitchsafe Ltd. We provide regulatory decision support to brands, agencies and talent managers working in influencer marketing. One feature lets a customer check a creator's public social media before working with them. We are responsible for the searches we run and the results we keep. The customer who asks for a check decides whether to screen you and what to do with the result, and is responsible for that use.
Contact: hello@pitchsafe.io.
2. What we process
- Identifiers: your name and social media handles, as entered by our customer.
- Public posts and profile information: public posts by or about you and public profile details, retrieved from public social platforms (currently X and Reddit) through our social-listening provider. We do not access private accounts, private messages or anything behind a login.
- The screening result: a short AI-written summary, a green, amber or red triage rating, and, for any post the result relies on, a short excerpt, its link, the platform and the author.
Brand-safety checks look for public posts about controversy or alleged misconduct, and for rules such as minimum ages for gambling and alcohol promotions. Results can therefore include public information that touches on sensitive matters, such as health, beliefs or allegations. A result is triage for a person at the customer to review. It is not a finding about you, and "green" means only that nothing surfaced.
3. Where the information comes from
From the customer who entered your name or handles, and from public social media platforms, searched through our social-listening provider, Xpoz.
4. Why we process it, and our lawful basis
The purpose is to help our customers check brand-safety and advertising-rule risks before they work with a creator, for example whether a creator appears to meet the age rules for a gambling or alcohol campaign, or has public history that conflicts with a brand's category. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR): our customers' interest in making those checks before entering a working relationship, and ours in providing the service. We limit the processing to public information, keep only a short record, and use it only for that check.
5. Automated processing
An AI model reads the retrieved posts and writes the summary and rating. No decision with legal or similarly significant effects is made about you by automated means alone: the result is given to a person at the customer to review.
6. Who we share it with
- The customer who ran the check, and members of their team in Pitchsafe.
- Our service providers: Xpoz (social-media search), Anthropic (AI processing), Sentry (error monitoring) and our cloud hosting provider (hosting). Some are in the United States; transfers rely on the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.
7. How long we keep it
- The posts retrieved for a check are used for that check and not stored, except the short excerpts and links cited in the result.
- A screening result is kept as part of the customer's report until the customer deletes that report, or the account of the person who ran it is deleted.
- For quick searches on the standalone creator check, we keep the search terms (such as your name or handle) in the customer's search history, not the posts, until that customer's account is deleted.
8. Your rights
You have the right to object to this processing at any time. If you object, we will delete the screening results we hold about you unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to keep them or need them for a legal claim. You also have the right to ask for access to, correction of, or erasure of your information, and to restrict how it is used. Email hello@pitchsafe.io with your name and the handles concerned; we may ask you to show that an account is yours. We will reply within one month.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
9. Changes
We may update this notice; the "last updated" date shows the current version.
